Tori Kabernagel was born and raised in Bel Air, Maryland, where she started dancing at the age of three at Harford Dance Center. Throughout her childhood, Tori performed with pre-professional dance company Harford Dance Theatre and competed with Harford Dance Center and Fallston High School Dance Team. Tori graduated from College of Charleston in 2018. During her time with the College of Charleston Cougarettes Dance Team,Tori was selected to compete at the 2015 College UDA Nationals in Orlando, Florida, in which the team ranked nationally in the top 6 for Division I Hip Hop. While completing her BA in Dance with CofC, Tori was selected to perform in several productions, including the work of guest artists Tara Madsen Robbins and John J. Zullo during their residencies with the department. Outside of her collegiate training, Tori has trained and performed with Dance Lab. While Tori loves to perform, her passion lies with choreography. She’s had the opportunity to present several works at the Piccolo Spoleto Festival, Charleston Fuse Festival, American College Dance Association Southeastern Conferences, and in various CofC Department of Theatre and Dance concerts. She has had the opportunity to serve as a Rehearsal Director for faculty works, including guest artist Michael Nickerson-Rossi of Nickerson-Rossi Dance. At the culmination of her college career, Tori was honored with being the sole recipient of her graduating class to receive the Dean's Excellence Award for Dance due to her academic achievement and service to the department. Since graduation, Tori has taught, choreographed and trained with Dance Dimensions, Home of Hartin Dance Company in Palm Desert, California. Tori has presented her group and solo work at studio competitions throughout Southern California. Her choreography was nominated as a studio favorite from the prestigious faculty of Nuvo Dance.
