STUDIO OWNER/CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Allie Boyd, a professional dancer and educator from Texas, discovered her passion for dance at the age of six. Since then, she has dedicated herself to mastering a wide range of dance styles, including jazz, lyrical, ballet, musical theater, heels, commercial and hip-hop styles, and tap, with a particular love for contemporary. Throughout her career, Allie has trained with some of the industry's top instructors, such as Galen Hooks, Lyrik London, Phil Wright, Ysabelle Capitule, Cat Cogliandro, Krista Miller, Alexander Chung, and Sienna Lalau.

With over a decade of experience, Allie has made her mark in the dance world, directing productions, leading competitive teams, and working with professional companies. Her exceptional choreography has earned her numerous judges' choice awards at national dance competitions. She has also choreographed for Yella Beezy, the NFL Jacksonville Jaguars Cheerleaders, and Disney, and her work has been featured in multiple music videos and productions. Notably, Allie was featured in the New York Times for her performance in the International African American Museum's opening ceremony.

Allie is committed to continuous growth, traveling to New York City multiple times a year to train with some of the best choreographers and instructors in the world. As an educator, she has played a pivotal role in shaping the careers of aspiring dancers, with many of her students earning scholarships and admission to prestigious institutions such as Point Park University, AMDA, and Alvin Ailey.

Currently residing in Charleston, SC, with her husband and daughter, Allie is the proud owner and creative director of The Dance Space. She believes that a dance class with her is more than just training—it's an experience that nurtures each student's uniqueness and inspires them to reach their full potential. Driven by her passion for art and expression, Allie's innovative choreography and teaching style continue to motivate her students to push the boundaries of dance and become well-rounded individuals.
